I Think the Sonics are Going to Oklahoma City
Seattle Sonics minority owner and public enemy #1 Aubrey McClendon brilliantly said that the intention for Seattle was to move the team to Oklahoma City. According to the AP, McClendon said.......
"We know it's a little more difficult financially here in Oklahoma City, but we think it's great for the community and if we could break even we'd be thrilled," he told the newspaper, also saying he was "under a self-imposed gag order" in regards to the business end of the Sonics.
Retard.
I think he forgets that if the Sonics continue to struggle once they make their move to OK City, the fan base is going to drop. If the fan base drops, the Sonics franchise will be no longer. Seattle is a small market, it's tucked up 200 miles away from Canada, but it's the city in which they have been thriving for 40 years.
McClendon continued is idiotic rambling by saying this.....
McClendon said Oklahoma City has a "can-do spirit" and a supportive fan base.
"This is a sports town; nobody ever knew it was a pro sports town. I think it is," he said.
On the flip side, he said he doesn't feel Seattleites have the same enthusiasm.
"They take pride in Seattle not needing a NBA team to be considered a world-class city. That's probably true, they don't," he said.
Thank you Sherlock.
So brace yourselves Seattleites, see the Sonics 41 more times, because it'll be the last 41 times. I just wonder why literally every Seattle sports franchise has threatened to move?

Kevin Durant+Possible last year in Seattle= Sonics getting coverage
With the possibility of the Seattle Sonics departing from this place to somewhere (*cough* Oklahoma City *cough*), and Kevin Durant coming to the Sonics, has combined to make for 8 nationally televised games on ESPN, ABC, and TNT. NBATV will carry 6 games as well, but only 65 people actually watch and or get that channel.
So here are the nationally televised games for this year for the Seattle Sonics. (ESPN, ABC, TNT)
Oct 31: @ Denver, ESPN.
Nov 01: vs. Phoenix (AKA, another home opener loss), TNT.
Nov 23: vs. New Jersey, ESPN
Christmas Day: @ Portland, ABC
Dec 27: vs. Boston (Ray Allen's homecoming), TNT
Jan 03 2008: @ Phoenix (another loss), TNT
Feb 21: @ Portland, TNT
April 16th: @ Golden State (Possible last game for the Seattle Sonics before relocation), ESPN
My Early Prediction: Sonics go 39-43, miss playoffs, move to Oklahoma City.

Can we Just Wave the White Flag?
Here's a little timeline of what has happened with the Seattle Supersonics since the end of the regular season.
April 25th, 2007: Sonics fire coach Bob Hill, demote GM Rick Sund. Good decision, should've fired him the season before that.
May 22nd 2007: Seattle awarded 2nd pick of the draft. We know we're going to get Durant.
June 28th, 2007: Seattle trades Ray Allen to Boston, gets rights to Jeff Green, Wally Sdasaasjlfasdfdsgstydftfjioaibiak, and Delonte West. Stupid idea, you trade your best player, for a rookie, a washed up Saffsfsflajfopasijdsaprreosbiak, and an unproven West. At least they might keep Rashard Lewis.
July 2nd, 2007: Sonics F Rashard Lewis signs contract with the Orlando Magic. Yay, we threw away our top 2 players, and are fielding several rookies.
July 5th, 2007: PJ Carlesimo officially the Sonics head coach. That's their best option? I miss Nate McMillan.
July 6th, 2007: Lenny Wilkens resigns as Vice Chairman. The one man that knows everything about the organization (he's an analyst for FSN Northwest), and he quits.
So as you can see, the Sonics are in turmoil, and if they don't improve next year, it's all over in Seattle.

Rashard Lewis can go jump of a cliff pave the way for Kevin Durant
Breaking News: Seattle Sonics guard Rashard Lewis has voided his contract with the team, and will become a free agent. If there's one team that needs him the most, it's the Cleveland Cavaliers *cough* Larry Hughes sucks) Oh well, come on Seattle, draft freaking Kevin Durant!
More on this story later. Also, enjoy the 3 day weekend (I know I will!)

YES!!!!!!!!! The Sonics are #2!
Breaking News, the Seattle Supersonics have taken the 2nd pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. The number 1 pick goes to the Portland Trail Blazers! The only way I could be angry at Seattle, is if.....
A. They trade their pick.
B. Draft a foreign superstar.
Either of those things happen, I'll go down to Sonics Headquarters, find Lenny Wilkens, and drop him on the space needle then I know the Sonics are doomed.
If you were expecting the other 12 lottery picks, you shouldn't be reading this blog. Go on ESPN, and find it.
Update: The Seattle Times website has messed up again.
State tournaments
The Seattle Sonics have been awarded the 2nd pick in the 2007 NBA draft.
Hmmm, State Tournaments, NBA? I think they rushed their story a little bit.

Seattle Sonics do the right thing
After 2 crap like seasons, the Seattle Sonics have fired coach Bob Hill and removed GM Rick Sund.
This news has gotten me wrapped with happiness, because we fired these 2 guys who helped the crappiness. So now we know we won't draft a guy from Africa or Europe who is 7 feet tall and proves to be a bust. In all "seriousness", we have to look at Bob Hill and his glorious career as
Sonics head coach.
Wins: 63
Losses: 81
Oh well, here's a nice song that fits Hill and Sund getting the can.
Ok, now that Bob Hill is kicked out, who's the next guy we should hire?

I am Proud to be a Bay Area Native
Why couldn't the San Jose Sharks, the Golden State Warriors, and the San Francisco Giants, and the Oakland A's all win. (let alone play decent hockey, basketball, baseball)?
For the 1st time in 14 years, the Golden State Warriors are going to the playoffs after destroying the Portland Trail Blazers 120-98. The bad news is, they face the Dallas Mavericks, if they win just 1 game, the season is a success.
The NHL's San Jose Sharks are 1 win away from advancing to the next round, after beating the Nashville Predators 3-2, they'll have to absolutely choke with a 3-1 lead to NOT advance.
Barry Bonds homered as the Giants won last night, and the Oakland A's beat the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in Orange County in California 3-0.
So in conclusion, the bay area teams are kicking butt!!!!
What have the Seattle teams been doing? The Mariners lost their best pitcher to injury in addition to losing to the Minnesota Twins, and the Sonics show to their (remaining) fans that they want to stay in Seattle to the resounding score of Mavericks 106 Sonics 75. So of course the Sonics are going to stay, 31-51 equals new stadium!
In an unrelated story: Chicago White Sox pitcher Mark Buehrle threw a no-hitter last night in their win over the Texas Rangers. If he were with the Cubs and had a no-hitter, we'd have a "The Cubs, are who we THOUGHT THEY WERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" joke, but you can't have it your way all the time can you?

Seattle SuperSucks
The Sonics need to Leave Town draft Kevin Durant. After Ray Allen said that he would miss the rest of the season due to injury, the Sonics told the Seattle Times that they would have a faster tempo without him, starting last night against the Spurs.
Final Score: San Antonio 120 Sonics 79
So obviously it's working . It also seems that the Sonics have trouble even losing respectively to the Spurs. After last night, the Sonics have lost all 3 meetings to San Antonio by these scores.
November 26: Spurs 98 Sonics 78
February 24: Spurs 102 Sonics 71
March 25: Spurs 120 Sonics 79
You've probably heard that if we don't give the Sonics support for their proposed King County arena, it's all but over for their stay in the Northwest. It's especially hard when your team is 6 1/2 games out of a playoff spot and 14th in the Western Conference. It has gotten so bad, that the other day I heard the voice of the Sonics, Kevin Calabro, pleading with the people of Seattle to say yes to the multi-purpose arena in a radio ad, saying that with your help, we can bring back NCAA tournament games, an NHL team, and other sporting events.
Seattle is guaranteed to stay through the next NBA season, do you think they're here to stay?
